CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A small dog is in need of donations to fund his medical treatment after he was found in a dumpster with multiple injuries on the night of Sunday, August 17.
The Yorkshire Terrier, named Oscar by the staff at the Animal Hospital of Clarksville, has multiple deep puncture wounds and his jaw has been broken in two areas.
Stephanie Ware, a member of the care team at the veterinarian clinic, said that the dog has had his jaw wired shut and is now being fed by syringe. It is believed that Oscar was left in the dumpster in the summer heat after he was attacked by a large unknown animal.
Animal Control brought the dog to the Animal Hospital, where he will recover for at least several months before he will be available for adoption.
Donations for Oscar’s care can be mailed directly for Oscar to the Animal Hospital at 11 McClure Street, Clarksville TN, 37040 or 931-647-1696. The community can also donate using the GoFundMe account that has been set up for the dog.
