The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has added another program to the water fitness lineup at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane. The new Adult Lap Swim Training Program is now open to those who are looking to take part in lap swimming or add a little challenge to their lap swimming routine.
Adult Lap Swim Training is offered at the Indoor Aquatic Center on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from noon until 1 p.m., and from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Cost for a seven week training session is $35 for those with a pool pass or $50 without a pass. Pre-registration for the class is available on the Clarksville Parks and Recreation website and is required.
The program is designed to help those who are familiar with lap swim as well as beginners leading an inactive lifestyle to increase stamina and improve cardiovascular health. Each day includes a new lap swim and interval workout.
