CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Indoor Aquatic Center at New Providence, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, opens its doors for the Indoor Season Wednesday, October 1.

Waterplay equipment is available from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Restrooms and a locker room area available at the Indoor Aquatic Center. Both men’s and women’s have slip-resistant flooring and ADA accessible stalls.

The facility will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays the pool will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 until 6 p.m. Weekend hours are noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The Indoor Aquatic Center offers five comprehensive levels of swim lessons as well as Mommy & Me, Preschool, Adult and Adaptive swim lessons. Two-week sessions are held monthly beginning November 3. Registration is currently underway at recpro.cityofclarksville.com.

New this year, the Indoor Aquatic Center will be home to a swim team for a variety of ages. For more information on how to become involved, check out www.thunderboltaquatics.com.

Basic Water Aerobics will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 5 p.m. Deep Water Aerobics will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. Silver Splash, for those 50 years and older, will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m. Maternity Aerobics, for expectant mothers, is available Mondays and Fridays at 5 p.m. All classes kick off October 6 and cost $2 with a pool pass, or $4 without a pass.

Daily Admission to the Indoor Aquatic Center is $3 Monday through Friday and $5 on weekends. The Indoor Aquatic Center also offers weekly promotions to help patrons save money. Each Tuesday is $1 Admission Day, Wednesdays are “WaterPlay Wednesdays,” where patrons can enjoy Wibit and Aqua Climb access for free, and Thursdays are 2-for-1 Admission Day.

Year-Round and Indoor pool passes are currently on sale. Passes can be purchased at the Parks & Recreation Main Office as well as at the Indoor Aquatic Center after the pool’s opening. Visit www.cityofclarksville.com/aquatics for pool pass options.

The Indoor Aquatic Center is also home to several special events such as Toddler Splash, which is held on the first Wednesday of the month from 10 a.m. until noon.
