CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Central Civitan will host their inaugural 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 5 at Historic Collinsville pioneer settlement in Southside, Tenn.
Race begins 8:30 a.m. and the course follows a scenic rural route past homes and farms. The course is partially shaded and will run past a stream.
The 5k finishes on the site of the historic pioneer settlement. Awards by age group will be announced at 9:30 a.m.
Cash prizes are available for overall male and female winners. All participants will receive a race packet with a souvenir art piece compliments of Arts for Hearts.
Packet pickup will be available on Friday, October 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Central Civitan Club building in Cunningham. Participants can also pick up their packet starting at 7:00 a.m. the day of the race at Historic Collinsville.
Immediately following the 5K stay and celebrate Tennessee Arts and Crafts Week at the Historic Collinsville Artisan Fair. Tour the historic buildings on site with docents and visit with artists on site for demonstrations and craft making. A variety of crafts, jewelry, pottery, fabric, metal, wood, paints, and photography will be on display. Food trucks will be on site to provide the victuals.
