CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Monday at 6 a.m. for Montgomery County.
The National Weather Service says travel is hazardous due to a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Ice and snow on roads will likely cause travel issues throughout the night.
Clarksville police officers and Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers worked at least six crashes simultaneously on I-24 between mile-marker 11 and the Kentucky state line earlier in the evening.
Travel near the Kentucky border is not advised.
After midnight, precipitation is expected to switch over to rain.
Temperatures will climb into the lower 40s on Monday.
