Hyman Anderson Smith III, age 70, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at St. Thomas Medical Center West.
Hyman was born on August 26, 1952, in Milwaukee, WI to Charlotte Williams and the late Hyman Anderson Smith Jr. Hyman is also preceded in death by his sister, Tamara Denise Smith.
Hyman is survived by his loving wife, Sheridin Stallard Smith; son, Kirk (Amber) Martin; daughters, Tonja (William) Thigpen and Jennifer (Tony) Townes; brothers, John Williams and Jordan Reid; sister, Victoria Reid; grandchildren, Tae and Alexis; great-grandchildren, Trae and Tahj; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life in Hyman’s honor will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jessica Fleck Officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church. Friends and family are encouraged to attend.
After 23 years of honorable military service, Hyman continued to serve his community with TRANE until his retirement.
