One of the organizers, Joe Maynard, said this time of year many military families “need a little help, just a little help with some food and other supplies,” Maynard said. Another event is being planned for later in the year.
The Maynard family, Joe and Cathi, and LifePoint Church were the presenting sponsors for the event, with ECHO Power Engineering and F&M Bank as contributing sponsors. Other supporting sponsors included Feed the Children, Tyson, and radio stations Beaver 100.3 and Q108.
Many of the volunteers were from partnering agencies, which included YAIPak Outreach, Operation Stand Down Tennessee, Montgomery County Veterans Coalition, Soldiers and Families Embraced, United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region, Toys for Tots, and AUSA Fort Campbell.
