CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Empty Bowls Clarksville hosted their 10th annual Empty Bowls-Hope Not Hunger event Tuesday in Clarksville. Three local churches held lunches while five churches held dinners of soup, bread and dessert. Along with their meal each ticket holder got to choose a donated hand painted bowl to take home.
Funds raised at Empty Bowls benefits Loaves & Fishes and Urban Ministries Food Pantry who provide thousands of meals every year to hungry families and individuals in Clarksville-Montgomery County. The bowls came from The Pottery Room, Horsefeathers Pottery and Art Studio and the APSU Ceramics Department.
Participating churches included Trinity Episcopal, Grace Lutheran, New Providence United Methodist, Immaculate Conception, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sango Methodist, First Presbyterian and Salem United Methodist.
