CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery Co. is in need of dry dog food donations.
In 2014, the pet food bank distributed nearly 40,000 lbs. of dry pet food & litter to pet owners and rescue organizations in need, and occasionally the donations don’t keep up with the demand.
DONATION TIPS:
1) Amazon Prime shoppers, take advantage of the free shipping & order from the comforts of your home: http://amzn.com/w/2WKSBOBS2D9DM
2) Bags 35 lbs. and under work best as its often difficult for elderly & disabled clientele to handle bigger bags. Smaller bags also give flexibility to help more families when resources are limited.
3) Stock up & donate when you find good sales or coupons.
4) Become a regular donor by picking up an extra bag of food when you shop for your own pets.
5) Organize a “pet food drive” through an employer, birthday party, youth group, neighbors, etc.
6) If your pets are finicky eaters, don’t toss gently used pet supplies… the Humane Society will find a use for it so long as they’ve been safely stored.
Donations can be dropped off anytime during office hours: M/T/F/Sat 9am-2pm or Wed/Thurs 4:30pm-7:30pm. The office is located a 940 Tennessee Ave. located behind Arby’s on Riverside Dr.
