CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to a report of a house fire Thursday, Nov. 7 around 1:15 p.m. on Persimmon Court in the Glenellen area.
Fire Chief Ray Williams said firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the house and immediately set up a water supply. “We had it under control in about ten minutes,” he said.
Williams said the cause of the blaze was a kitchen grease fire, which caused over $50,000 in damage to the house. Family members were home at the time but safely exited the house, and no one was injured.
The family has been displaced, and Williams said friends and church members are assisting them.
There is no further information at this time.
