CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Hot Pita, which has been serving customers downtown at 136 Franklin St. for six years, will close its doors later this month. But that’s not the end of the story. The business will be moving to a bigger location at 1803 Madison St., which will not only expand restaurant capacity but also menu options.

Hot Pita was started in 2017 by Farid and Heidi Rostampour and features multiple sandwich options, mainly served on hot pita bread. In addition to the classics, the business also serves some unique items, such as the Smash Burger Pita and Smash Burger Rice Bowl.

Farid Rostampour, owner of Hot Pita, posted on Facebook Wednesday morning that they plan to close at the end of business on Friday, March 17, and to open on Madison Street Wednesday, March 23.

“Me and Heidi want to say thank you to each and every one of our many great friends for the support and the love you showed us in the past 6 years, (and) also want to assure you that we will continue to deliver to all our downtown friends like we do today. We look forward to seeing you at our new location soon. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Hot Pita has another location on Fort Campbell in the food court that has been operating for three years, but Rostampour told Clarksville Now that locale will be business as usual. He said the primary reason the sandwich shop is moving out of downtown is to accommodate the growing customer base.

“The main reason at hand was that we had outgrown our location. The evening business was not there for us, so we decided we needed something bigger. Parking was a concern – a very common concern of my customers – so we have moved to a standalone building out on Madison Street that’s going to tremendously help us.”

Rostampour added that both locations will undergo small menu changes, but that they will be consistent.

“Being where we were downtown, we did not have access to a fryer,” he said, noting the location was too small to accommodate a fryer. “We’ve added a fryer, so we’re able to offer fries and also at the downtown location we didn’t have dinner, so we’re actually going to do dinner menus. We’ll also be offering some grab and go family-size desserts as well family meals that will be available in a package.”
