HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – City of Hopkinsville officials announced that the 2013 Christmas Parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. due to impending severe weather.
This year’s parade route will start at Glass Avenue and North Main Street and continue south on Main Street to 16th Street.
Themed “Peace on Earth,” the parade will be followed by a host of events including:
• Christmas at the Bend from 1 – 3 p.m. (at Jeffers Bend)
• Christmas Open House from 2 – 4 p.m. (at Public Library)
• Christmas Market on the Square from 4 – 8 p.m. (at Founder’s Square)
• Pennyrile Polar Express at 4 p.m. (at Founder’s Square)
• Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. (at Founder’s Square)
Those who have registered to participate in the parade are asked to contact the Division of Parks and Recreation at 270-887-4290 to confirm their plans to participate on Dec. 14.
