HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Hopkinsville Police arrested a man in connection with a robbery Wednesday morning at US Bank.
According to a news release, police responded to the bank, located at 3213 Lafayette Rd., around 10:30 a.m. Bank employees told police a black male in his 30s demanded money and acted as if he had a gun, but the employees never actually saw one. He then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
After leaving the bank, the suspect broke into a home on Beaumont Dr. and stole clothes to change into to alter his appearance. Police found the man shortly afterward in the 3200 block of Coxmill Rd.
36-year-old Azikiwe Maduka of Hopkinsville was arrested and charged with 1st degree robbery and 2nd degree burglary.
