HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- A Hopkinsville man was arrested on allegations he shot a man in the stomach.
At about 2 p.m, on Monday, Feb. 17, Hopkinsville Police responded to a shooting on E. Second Street, according to Michael Atkins, Hopkinsville Police spokesman.
When police arrived, they found Derrell Bateman with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Travis Mayes was charged with 1st-degree assault and booked in the Christian County Jail.
Bateman was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by Lifeflight for treatment.
