CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Montgomery County Home Builders Association held its annual Awards Banquets last week.
Three local business people were recognized for their hard work in the industry.

Marvin Herald with Herald & Phillips Builders LLC, was named 2015 Builder of the Year. Marvin started his career in the building industry as a framing contractor, then as time went on decided that he wanted to get his contractor’s license. Herald has built over 400 homes in Montgomery County, including several award winning homes in the annual Parade of Homes.

Janet Mangrum of Clarksville Lighting & Appliance was named 2015 Associate of the Year. Janet has made many outstanding contributions to the association and its membership. She has served many home buyers, builders and suppliers with their home building and remodeling needs.

Jim Amos, owner of Clarksville Lighting & Appliance was named 2015 recipient of the Jackie Goad Hall of Fame Award. The award was presented by Jeff Burkhart, 2016 Home Builder of Tennessee President. Amos has taken the lead during each of the Annual Golf Tournaments and supported the Annual Parade of Homes. Most importantly he dedicated his career in supplying lighting and appliances to thousands of homes in Montgomery County for the past 30 plus years. We appreciate the many outstanding contributions he has given to our community.
