CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – For the season of giving and joy, there are all sorts of options for family fun, from light shows to ice skating to Christmas movies.

Ongoing events

Winter Ice at Downtown Commons

  • When: Saturday, Nov. 20-Jan. 9
  • Where: Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St.
  • Cost: $12 adults/ $10 children under 12, government/military/APSU students
  • Time: 4-9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays; 10 a.m. -9 p.m. Saturdays; 2-9 p.m. on Sundays
  • Details: Hours vary on holidays, during school breaks, and during special events. Ice skates included in cost of ticket.

Christmas on the Cumberland

  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 23-Jan. 1
  • Where: McGregor Park, 640 N Riverside Drive
  • Cost: Free
  • Time: Monday-Thursday 5-10 p.m.; Friday-Sunday 5-11 p.m.
  • Details: Over 1 million lights along the Cumberland RiverWalk.

Drive-Thru Christmas Lights

  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 23-Jan. 1
  • Where: Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road
  • Cost: $30 per carload, $50 for more than 8 people in a vehicle
  • Time: 5:30-10 p.m.
  • Details: Over 1 mile, and over 3 million lights, from the comfort of your car.

Christmas Tour of Trees

  • When: Monday, Nov. 29-Dec. 22
  • Where: First Baptist Church of Clarksville, 435 Madison St.
  • Cost: Free
  • Time: Guided tours Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-3 p.m., self-guided tours Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and on Sundays during worship hours.
  • Details: Over 30 trees on display. Call 931-245-0000 to schedule a tour.
