CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Rotary Park is a 111-acre nature park on the outskirts of Clarksville at 2308 Rotary Park Drive. The accessible entrance allows easy access to the expansive trail network, which consists of over 5 miles of hiking and biking trails.
With the recent addition of the 4,200-square-foot Wade Bourne Nature Center, visitors are now able to enjoy demonstrations, programs, exhibits and hands-on activities that teach more about nature.
According to Visit Clarksville Tennessee, the center is a tribute to Wade Bourne, a journalist known for his love of hunting, fishing and conservation. Most recently, the center received a 550-gallon aquarium, paid for by the Wade Bourne Nature Center (WBNC) Foundation, according to previous reports.
Montgomery County Parks and Recreation highlights Rotary Park’s array of features, including an ADA-accessible trail, three pavilions, picnic tables and grills, an 18-hole disc golf course, 2 buildings for restrooms, two playgrounds, an outdoor exercise area, an ADA-accessible amphitheater, 25 acres of open space and an area to play horseshoe.
Rotary Parks pavilions are available to rent for a fee, providing visitors with a place to host gathering, picnics and special events. Pricing and details are available on the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation website.
