An event regarding scholarship opportunities and leadership development will be offered at Fieldstone Place for local high school students. The event will be Saturday, February 29 from 10am – 2pm.
A new partnership between Fieldstone Place, Walking Horse Meadows, Five Star Senior Living, and the AgeLab has created an opportunity for Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to come to the Clarksville area. OMEGA is an initiative from the MIT AgeLab designed to create connections between high school students and older adults.
At Five Star’s Fieldstone Place location, the MIT AgeLab team will be hosting a one-day event on Saturday, February 29, with high schoolers from across Tennessee. During the Summit, students will learn about community-based intergenerational programming and brainstorm ideas for intergenerational programs and clubs to implement in their own communities. Students will also learn about careers in aging and college scholarships that are available for high school juniors and seniors. High school students of all grades are invited to attend this fun, informative, and collaborative event.
