HOPKINSVILLE, KY – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Heritage Bank honored its most recent scholarship recipients at the 15th Annual Scholarship Fund banquet.
The scholarship recipients for the 2018-2019 school years were presented their awards amongst their families and school administrators. The Heritage Bank scholarships are named in honor of a community member in each market area who has contributed to helping children and education. These honorees were also recognized at the ceremony.
“Our Heritage Bank Scholarship Fund is one of the largest investments we make to support the educational endeavors of students in western Kentucky and middle Tennessee,” said John Peck, CEO of Heritage Bank. “Over the past 14 years, we have awarded more than $343,500 to 687 students. This year we awarded an additional 64 scholarships, bringing our total to 751 scholarships awarded to date.”
In attendance were HopFed Bancorp and Heritage Bank board members, Community Board members from the bank’s market areas in Kentucky and Tennessee, Heritage Bank executive staff, Market Presidents and managers, school guidance counselors and principals, and the recipients and their families. The evening began with dinner and concluded with door prizes featuring the centerpieces containing several must-needed items for college-bound students. CEO John Peck was the keynote speaker for the evening.
Heritage Bank provides scholarships to all qualified public and private high schools within Heritage Bank’s footprint. The schools select the scholarship recipients for their respective schools and Heritage Bank awards the scholarship recipients at the banquet where the students receive plaques. Heritage Bank also presented its annual Alumni Scholarships.
Montgomery County area students receiving scholarship awards included: Madison Fisher, Clarksville Academy; Morgan Baylor, Catherine Howard, Lane Steinsultz, and Maiya Welch, Clarksville High School; Dylan Edwards, Fort Campbell High School; Aubrey Doll, Destiny Mathews, and Dakota Price, Kenwood High School; Marie Ryales, Middle College at APSU; Kennedy Beck, Dani Hatton, and Jerrianna Thompson, Montgomery Central High School; Navarone Dupont, Jeal Patel, Alexandra Tejada, and Kaylei Williams, Northeast High School; Yarelis Flores, Andrew Oglesby, Jada Weber, and Paige Whittaker, Northwest High School; Cologino James Avros, Sarah Farley, Emily Lucke, and Asante Ruiz, Rossview High School; and JaNelle Cottoner, Gualbert Gonzalez Silva, Araya Kramer, and Darielle White of West Creek High School. The 2018 Montgomery County scholarships were awarded in honoree of Delois Hogan.
