CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Several candidates have made campaign announcements and picked up petitions at the Montgomery County Election Commission for the May 3 County Primary.

Note that this will be a party primary to select party nominees. They are identified below as R (Republican), D (Democrat) and I (Independent). The party nominees who win in May will run against one another in the County General Election, coming up on Aug. 4.

More candidates for these races are likely still coming: They have until Feb. 17 to qualify, and this list doesn’t yet include County Commission candidates, who can begin picking up petitions this week. Also, the Circuit Judge, Chancellor, District Attorney and District Public Defender races will include candidates who registered in Robertson County.
