CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) 5 Star Media Group is partnering with Manna Café Ministries for the 8th Annual Combat Hunger event to help feed the less fortunate population of Clarksville.
Combat Hunger is happening Saturday, November 11 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at grocery store locations throughout Clarksville.
“While we do food drives throughout the year, this is our biggest consolidated push here in Clarksville, and we hope you’ll join forces with us to combat hunger,” representatives from Manna Cafe said. Manna Café distributes around 1.8 million pounds of food and 26,000 hot meals each year.
Volunteers will be helping out at all of the Combat Hunger grocery stores and along with food items, monetary donations will also be accepted to purchase food. The goal this year is to collect 60 thousands pounds of food.
Food collection stations will be set up at all three Walmarts, two Walmart Neighborhood Markets, all three Krogers, both Food Lions, GFS, Hilltop Market, and Dollar General Market—along with other businesses.
On-air radio personalities from 5 Star Media Group will be collecting donations at Walmart Neighborhood Market (Dover Road), Kroger on Lowes Drive, and Hilltop Supermarket.
