Helen Robbins, age 80, went home to be with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on May 17, 2015.

She departed this world peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Helen was born on August 19, 1934, in Kelford, N.C. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy N. Baker. She is also preceded in death by 6 of her 13 siblings; Frank and Edward Baker, Beulah White, Clara Showalter, Sam Baker, and Alice Baker.

Helen is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 60 years, Carlton Robbins of Clarksville, TN; 4 children; Joyce Kirksey (John), Greg Robbins (Annadell), Betsy Myers (Joey), and Barbara Wright (Shane); 11 grandchildren, Christopher Kirksey (Amy), Benjamin Kirksey (Erica), Rebecca Smith (Joshua), Andrew Robbins, Timothy Myers (Ruthe), Elisabeth Myers, Joshua Myers, Hannah Myers, James Wright, Samuel Wright, and Noah Wright, 3 great-grandchildren; Katie Smith, Kourtney Smith, and Christopher Smith.

Helen faithfully walked with her Lord and Savior, exemplifying a Godly example for those around her, especially her family; a Proverbs 31 woman. Within that obedience to Christ, she selflessly devoted her life to her marriage, and rearing her children… “her children rise up and called her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her.”

Helen enjoyed reading, studying the living Word of God, quilting, gardening, cooking, hosting family dinners, and having loved ones near. She also held dear the relationships and worship time she experienced in her Sunday School Class, known as “The Love Class” at First Baptist Church, led by Woody Parker.

A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Dr. Felts Dent and Brother Joey Myers officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the funeral home.
