MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service says heavy rains could cause flash flooding in Middle Tennessee this week.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will spread across the area during the day on Wednesday, becoming more widespread and heavy by Wednesday night.
Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected, which may lead to flash flooding in some areas.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late Thursday morning into Thursday evening as a cold front moves in. Forecasters say hail and additional flash flooding are the most likely threats, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
