CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) –Temperatures in the upper 80s today combined with high humidity will put the heat index at 99 degrees today and as high as 106 by Wednesday, which could pose a health risk.
Warnings are issued when the hit index hits 105, but even at 100 it is advised that you limit outdoor activity, drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks when outdoors.
Children and pets should not be left in hot cars unattended.
