CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement regarding heat safety for Middle TN, including Montgomery County.
High temperatures are expected to peak in the mid-90s Thursday. These hot temperatures, along with humidity levels, will produce heat indices between 100 and 105 degrees.
If you have to be outside during the hottest part of the day, try to limit your time outdoors and drink plenty of water.
Children and pets should not be left in hot cars unattended.
There is also a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
