CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The National Weather Service says a heat advisory is in effect for the Clarksville-Montgomery County area through 9 p.m. Sunday.

Temperatures will range between 93 to 96 degrees, but high humidity will produce heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees, especially from 1-7 p.m.

Hot and humid conditions raise the risk of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To avoid this, wear light and loose fitting clothing and drink plenty of water. Frequent breaks in an air-conditioned area are encouraged.
