NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Heat Advisory through 8:00 pm Sunday for areas of southern Kentucky, including Christian, Todd and Trigg counties.

Heat index values will range from 100 to 105 degrees. Under these conditions car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible, mainly during the heat of the afternoon. Should a storm occur, locally heavy rain and lightning will be the primary hazards.

Anyone who has to be outdoors this weekend is urged to stay hydrated, wear comfortable clothing, and use sunscreen.
