CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.-(CLARKSVILLENOW) The Dotsonville Community Center (DCC) is holding its first ever Healthy Living Fair this Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Upon arrival, those attending can pick up a passport to good health that has a list of stations that can be checked off or stamped as participants go around to the stations.
Blood pressure check (Matthew Walker Clinic staff)
Weight check station
Optional meeting with advice nurse/doctor about specific health concerns (Dr. Mark Green)
Water taste test (fruit and cucumber infused water)
Healthy snack demonstration (Montgomery County Cooperative Extension Service)
Wiggins Medical Transport information table
Massage Therapy information
Essential Oils
Take Off Pounds Sensibly weight loss groups (2 local groups meet in Clarksville)
Exercise info and sessions
Preventive Medicine info table – including info about tick borne diseases & accident prevention
Boy Scouts – Emergency preparedness and first aid demonstrations
There will be a collection of nonperishable food items for Urban Ministries as well as monetary donations for an AED for the center.
