CLARKSVILLE, TN – The second annual Clarksville Walk4Water event, led by Healing Hands International, will be held at Liberty Park on April 30.
The free event is designed to raise money to dig clean water wells in “parts of the world where people have to walk an average of 4 miles to their nearest water source,” according to a news release.

Every penny donated goes directly to serving people in parts of the world who desperately need it.
In recent years, Walk4Water has raised nearly $17, 235 and has built two wells in Motoka, Zambia and Binudra, and Zimbabwe.
Previous attendees of the event include Mayor Joe Pitts, Mayor Jim Durrett and Sen. Bill Powers.
Anyone interested can contact coordinator Chris Middleton at 313-643-9025 for any questions about registration, donations, teams, or sponsoring a tent at the walk. For more information, follow them on their “Walk4Water Clarksville” page on Facebook or visit the Walk4Water website at www.hi.org/walk4water.
