Hazel Mary Collins, age 90, of Manchester, TN, a former 42 year resident of Clarksville, passed away May 9, 2014 at McArthur Manor Assisted Living.
Funeral services were held at noon Monday, May 12, 2014 at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ronald D. Burgess officiating. Burial followed in Fort Donelson National Cemetery. Visitation was from 10 a.m. until service time at the church Monday.
Hazel was born December 23, 1923 in Michigan to the late Albert and Ethel Bunge. She was a member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Hazel spent most of her time showing her love and devotion to her family. She was formerly employed by Clarksville Memorial Hospital as a Nursing Assistant.
Hazel was preceded in death by husbands, Lenard A. Myers and SSG Calvin C. Collins; sons, Richard Myers and Donald G. Myers; two brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, William L. Myers and his wife Paula, and Jeff L. Collins; daughter, Laurie Whetstone and her fiancée Jeff Helmick; brother, Eugene Bunge; grandchildren, Donald Tucker, William L. Myers, Jr., Michael D. Myers, Jeffery L. Collins, II, Ashley L. Collins, Nichole S. Morris, Brantley Chase Collins, and Taylor Leigh Collins; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends served as pallbearers. In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 725 S. Liberty Church Rd Clarksville TN 37042. Arrangements in the care of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
