Harold Cooksey passed away Sunday March 16, 2014 at his residence.
He was born April 8, 1949 son of the late William Cooksey and Mary Frances Powers Cooksey.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Emilia Cousin officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Erin Community Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Kanetia Cooksey. Survivors include one son Defonso Cooksey, one brother Keith Cooksey, eight sisters Verna Lewis, Edna Turner, Linda Keesee, Bertha Marable, Doris Wilson, Tina Turner, Yvonne Brown and Berta Mays, and three grandchildren.
