CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Patsy Seay-Dollar is hosting a séance, with seating limited to 22 people, on Halloween night. It will be held at ii Energy Works Metaphysical, a store she owns at 1191E Ft. Campbell Boulevard.
The doors will open for seating at 7 p.m. and evening will begin with some light refreshments to start, as well as an informal meet and greet.
“It is a séance-style gallery reading, and hopefully everyone will have a message,” Seay-Dollar says. “You just never know who will come through.”
A gallery reading is done before a group of people. The format that would be most familiar to the general public would be that of famous psychic John Edwards, who has hosted gallery readings on television. Like Edwards, Seay-Dollar describes herself as a psychic medium.
Seay-Dollar says, “I love the energy of a gallery reading. And the messages that come through are sometimes very, very surprising.”
Seay-Dollar’s fellow psychic medium, Janna Phillips, has been in the audience when Seay-Dollar does her particular type of “red light trance” reading, which she will engage in during the Halloween night séance.
As Phillips explains: “She will have a red light on her and the room will be semi-dark. She will stand up in front of everyone and she will call in spirits. She will read people’s energy. It’s like a stand-up séance, really, because she’s going to use her mediumship to give messages.”
With this type of séance, Dollar-Seay will pick people at random when she is receiving a message and give them the message. But if someone doesn’t want to get a message from a spirit, she will instead give them a reading based on translating the energy around them.
