CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Freeze Warning has been issued for Tuesday night across Middle Tennessee, which means trick-or-treating tonight will be pretty chilly.

The first Freeze Warning expires at 9 a.m. Tuesday, and the second one begins at 10 p.m., continuing through 10 a.m. Wednesday. Temperatures in Clarksville are expected to drop to 25 degrees Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.

“Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” the NWS said. “A killing, hard freeze is expected for the entire mid state region late Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.”

It’s going to be a cold night! During prime trick-or-treat hours on Tuesday in Clarksville, temperatures should start around 40 at 6 p.m. and drop to the mid-30s by 8 p.m. Skies will be mostly clear.
