CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Christian, Trigg, and Todd Counties in Kentucky are currently under a Tornado Watch until 8 p.m. Saturday. A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms which can produce tornadoes in the watch area.
Warmer temperatures will bring showers and thunderstorms Saturday. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s. The chance for thunderstorms will increase from 12 p.m. through early Saturday evening.
National Weather Service meteorologist Bobby Boyd says Clarksville is in an ‘enhanced area’ for severe weather. “That means the chances are pretty good for damaging winds, large hail and we can’t rule out isolated tornadoes for this event,” he said.
