CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Habitat ReStore now offers online donation scheduling.
The ReStore is pleased to announce that we are now offering easy online booking for scheduling your donation pickup. This new service will make scheduling a donation pickup at your convenience even easier than before. Now even when the ReStore is closed you can get your donation pickup scheduled.
The process is easy to use with a few simple steps. From the Clarksville ReStore website’s homepage, just click the large green “Donate Now” button – you can also access the online booking page from the Donation page and the Donation Guidelines page on the website. Once you click on the Donate Now button you are taken to a new page where they are asked for their zip code. Next, is selecting the donation items from drop down menus and then entering the required pickup information. And, the best part is the donor can then select their preferred pickup date from the available schedule.
“We hope our new online donation scheduling tool will be well received by our donors, new and returning. I know that I often don’t think about things like this until the end of the day and by then usually stores are closed so now people can just hop on the computer no matter the time or day and know that this is one more thing taken care of,” says ReStore Manager, Kathryn Norbeck-Dayley.
The new feature also allows the donation pickup driver to update donors’ tax deductible receipts on the fly. For example, if a donor decides to add an item to the pickup at the last minute, the driver can update their donation receipts while at their house or business and email them an updated receipt for their taxes.
The online donation scheduling is one more thing the Habitat ReStore is doing to make supporting Habitat for Humanity easier. Norbeck-Dayley stated, “Donations are the bread and butter of the ReStore and what allow us to support Habitat’s mission to build houses for low-income families in our community. The ReStore earned enough this year to build one complete Habitat house and we have enough to get the foundation and framing done on a second. With more donations we have a good chance of getting this second house built before the end of year. So please, keep donating!”
