CLARKSVILLE, TN − Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Tennessee (HFHMCTN) will accept applications for its homeownership program from Jan. 27-Feb. 10, 2025.

Follow this link to complete the online application: https://www.habitatmctn.org/apply. The link will not be active until Jan. 27, 2025, and will close Feb. 10, 2025, at 5 p.m.

HFHMCTN selects applicants based on:

  1. Need for adequate housing
  2. Ability to pay
  3. Willingness to partner

HFHMCTN builds new, single-family homes in partnership with qualified low-income applicants. Partners complete homeowner education in monthly classes that include budgeting, home maintenance, and financial wellness to set families up for lasting success.

Habitat for Humanity is not a give-away program but a pathway to homeownership. By providing affordable, no-profit mortgages, monthly payments are manageable. These payments are cycled back into the community to help build additional Habitat homes in Clarksville.

Qualified applicants must reside in Montgomery County for at least 12 months prior to applying. Background and credit checks are required for all applicants. Additional qualifications can be found on the HFHMCTN website.

Future homeowners partner with HFHMCTN by completing a minimum of 250 “sweat equity” volunteer hours per applicant, contributing hands-on hours to build their home and others, while gaining valuable skills and pride in their journey. These hours are typically completed at the Habitat ReStore or on the construction site.
