CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Can  you spell “fun”? About 100 people came out to the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center on Tuesday for the second annual Adult Spelling Bee, supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Montgomery County.

The event was emceed by Valeria Guzman and Michelle Newell, and judged by Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, County Trustee Kimberly Wiggins and Judge Katy Olita. The judges took bribes in the form of donations as they weighed in on the spelling of words such as “cacophony,” “alliteration,” “onomatopoeia” and “tussle.”

Sponsors for this year’s event included Two Rivers Electric, Jenn McMillion, Altra, Keller Williams, Byers & Harvey, Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, Fortera, Clarksville Police Department Juvenile Engagement Team, Ann Waddle, 5 Star Media Group, One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, Sango Eye Care, Screaming Eagle Express Car Wash, and Trazo Meadery.
