CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Mayor Kim McMillan is inviting the public to attend a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the commencement of a major expansion of the AJAX-Turner Senior Citizens Center.

The ground breaking will be held at 953 Clarks Street, on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

The new expansion of the city owned property will add 14,157 square feet to the existing building for a total square footage of 34,424 square feet when the project is completed. The project will also add additional parking spaces and improve parking area lighting.

Violette Architecture designed the expansion that will be constructed by A&K Construction. The project is scheduled to be completed in July of 2017 and will be managed by City of Clarksville Project Management.
