CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) In a recent ribbon cutting, The Grog Home Brew celebrated becoming a member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Owner/Co-Owner Nathan Manese and Co-Owner Heather Manese talked about the history of the business and its unique name.
Nathan Manese said The Grog Home Brew was opened around four years ago by Paul Denson and his wife Penny. Manese said he and his wife took over the business on April 1 of this year and moved it to its new location on Jardco Dr.
Manese explained Grog is a military term that described a large bowl filled with a lot of different alcohols and items that symbolize the history of a unit for different military operations.
“The store is a home brew and wine making shop, so we carry a full line of equipment and ingredients for those that look to make beer or wine at their house,” said Manese.
The Grog Home Brew is at 1761 Jardco Dr. and they are open Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday and Friday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
