CLARKSVILLE, TN – Greenwood Cemetery is excited to announce that the 1st Brigade Combat Team and one of Fort Campbell’s chaplains will be honoring Greenwood by doing their Wreaths Across America Ceremony again this year.
Donations are being accepted now for Wreaths Across America. There are over 1,600 veterans buried in the historical cemetery; the goal is to have a wreath for each one. There are many ways to donate: you can call the office and make a donation over the phone, you can log onto www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TN0295 and pick how many wreaths you wish to purchase, make them grave specific, write on our Remembrance wall and pay online.
This site allows you to order the number of wreaths you wish to purchase, and we receive one free for every two purchased. You can also log onto www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/TNGRNC and pick an organization to support or make it a fundraiser for your organization. When someone orders two wreaths your organization will receive $5.
You can also become a volunteer to help lay the Wreaths on Dec. 16 at 9 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial just inside the gates of the cemetery. We want to thank you all in advance for your help in this wonderful project to honor and respect those who have given their all for our freedoms. Thank you the staff of Historical Greenwood Cemetery.
