CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Greenwood Cemetery recently opened their ashes scattering garden with the ribbon cutting on Saturday, July 20.
According to the cemetery, the Ashes Scattering Garden is a place to spread a loved one’s ashes in a beautiful garden setting.
Greenwood Cemetery will keep record of those who are memorialized in the garden similar to a traditional burial. This allows family members of the deceased the ability to look up where the loved one is located and have a place to visit or mourn.
Additionally, the cemetery will provide a plaque with the loved one’s name, month and year of birth, and month and year of death.
Those interested in using the garden should contact Greenwood Cemetery Office.
