CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Jobs creation in Clarksville-Montgomery County begins with a strong focus on industrial development. Economic impact from industry recruitment is readily apparent in all aspects of the Economic Development Council’s organizations – from the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s work to accommodate and construction staff as they occupy local hotels and restaurants to an increased need for the knowlegable services found within the Chamber of Commerce’s membership. Swoope is one of the nation’s foremost leaders in recruitment and job creation and will leverage his success in building a team that helped to create more than 728,000 private sector jobs as Florida’s Secretary of Commerce to facilitate discussion around the realized and untapped potential in Clarksville-Montgomery County.

Now in its fourth year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Growth Summit is designed for business and community leaders to gain insight into the critical issues and strategies for economic development in the region, to build upon existing momentum and ultimately increase the area’s potential growth trajectory.
Other featured speakers include Ralph Schulz, President and CEO of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce; Greg Adkins, President and CEO of the Tennessee Hospitality and Tourism Association and a panel of experts in international business recruitment and foreign workforce inclusion.
The 4th Annual Clarksville Montgomery County Growth Summit will be held on May 28 from 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the APSU Morgan Center Ballroom. Registration is $40, inclusive of breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited.
