MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – State Representative Curtis Johnson announced that the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) Board of Directors has approved a grant which will provide housing for very low-income and homeless veterans.
The Housing Trust Fund will give Buffalo Valley, Inc. $208,400 to rehabilitate 10 transitional rental units, including five in Montgomery County. Veterans in need will be able to live in the more usable and energy efficient homes.
“I am very glad that some of this money will be used to help our low-income and homeless veterans,” Rep. Johnson said. “These men and women deserve a helping hand.”
