CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – It’s such a sweet day, they had to celebrate it twice.

National Pancake Day will takes place on Saturday, September 26 and local breakfast enthusiasts can enjoy the fluffy delightful taste of pancakes at some of Clarksville’s local eateries.

The first National Pancake Day is celebrated on February 25. The day  was instituted in 2006 by the national restaurant chain, International House of Pancakes (IHOP),  as a way to engage customers and donate to charities.

Since 2006, IHOP has raised over $30 million for non-profit organizations.

Whether you like them plain, drenched in butter and syrup, or fancy fruit-filled with all the fixings, here’s where you can get a stack of pancakes today:

  • IHOP has one location in Clarksville on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. They offer a wide variety of pancakes with toppings, flavored syrups and more. (It is the house of pancakes)
  • G’s Pancake House on Riverside Drive is a favorite for many Clarksville locals. The restaurant opened in 1972 and has been serving homestyle meals ever since.
  • Huddle House is a newer feature of Clarksville. It is located on Fire Station Road. They offer breakfast all day including a variety of pancakes.
  • Rudy’s Diner is a  traditional come-as-you-are quick style diner, Rudy’s has been serving up breakfast and lunch for years in Clarksville.
