CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) — Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team will make two appearances on the CBS Sports Network in 2016-17, the Ohio Valley Conference announced Thursday in conjunction with the network.
The Govs’ first nationally-televised contest is an 8 p.m. (CT), Thursday, Jan. 12 contest against SIU Edwardsville from the Vadalabene Center in Edwardsville. Two weeks later, the Govs will host UT Martin at the Dunn Center, 8 p.m. (CT), Thursday, Jan. 26, on CBS Sports Network in a rematch of last season’s Ohio Valley Conference Championship contest.
These contests will mark Austin Peay’s first appearance on CBS Sports since 2015, when the Govs traveled to Murray State. CBS Sports has not televised a game from the Dunn Center since the Governors Jan. 2014 contest against the Racers.
This marks the fourth year the league has aired games on the CBS Sports Network and third consecutive year the package has included seven total games.
