CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Military Appreciation Day is Saturday, October 17 at Governor’s Square Mall.

Active duty and retired service members and their family members (with dependent ID) receive special one day discounts from participating stores at the mall. Discount flyers will be at all entrances and the Customer Service Center starting on October 15.

Entertainment will include appearances by the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders and mascot, T-RAC from 3 – 4 p.m., a performance and meet-and-greet with country singer Kylie Morgan at 1 p.m., and a charity meet-and-greet from 12 – 3 p.m. with The Society of Secret Identities, who will be raising money for Soldiers and Families Embraced.

For a $5 donation you can meet and get your picture taken with your favorite comic book superheroes. Free family entertainment will include a bounce house in the Food Court and face painting in Dick’s Sporting Goods beginning at 12 p.m.

Military and their family can also register-to-win prizes at the DJ table in Center Court from 12 – 4 p.m. Winners must be present to win.

The first 100 active duty and retired military service members and their family members who pre-register for Military Appreciation Day will receive a FREE Governor’s Square Mall gym bag and pre-printed Register-to-Win forms. Must bring ticket and military ID to the DJ table located in Center Court to pick up your bag. One ticket per person (each person must be present and have ID to receive a bag).
