Nashville, Tenn. – A bill that legalizes the limited use of cannabis oil for medical purposes was signed into law by Governor Bill Haslam on Monday, May 4.
WKRN News 2 reports that “the controversial bill allows cannabis to be ingested or applied externally through oil, or its vapors used like an asthma inhaler.”
The law does not allow the recreational use of marijuana or the act of smoking it. Though the law is effective immediately, the drug will not be sold in Tennessee as before.
