NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Google recently donated $5,000 to the USO Fort Campbell/Nashville as a partner in the organization’s 80s/90s Run.
A $5,000 can help the USO Fort Campbell and USO Nashville support the more than 110,000 service members and family members that will visit the four local centers, including USO Nashville MEPS, USO Nashville in the Nashville International Airport, USO Fort Campbell on the installation, and the USO Fort Campbell RP/6 transition program in Clarksville.
The money can support ten months of cable/phone/internet, three months of soda, or about 2,500 snack bags for deploying soldiers through USO Fort Campbell.
“We are thrilled to welcome Google into this community, and are honored that they would step up – as the new kid on the block – to support the mission of the USO,” Kari Moore, Center Director of USO Fort Campbell and USO Nashville said. “The USO connects service members to the people, places, and things that they love most, and Google is clearly a leader in connecting people.”
Google will soon operate a $600 million data center in Clarksville, creating approximately 70 jobs.
