NORTH POLE, (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Christmas Eve can be one of the longest nights of a year for a kid, and many will wait up hoping to hear the sound sleigh bells. Fortunately, The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and Google are once again launching their annual Santa Tracker programs, helping the whole family to sleep a little easier.
The NORAD Santa Tracker goes live this year on Christmas Eve at 5 a.m. CST and will remain active until Santa finishes his 2019 run, which should be around midnight.
Kids can tune into Santa’s whereabouts through NORAD by calling toll free at 1-877-HI-NORAD, sending an email to noradtrackssanta@outlook.com or following NORAD on Facebook and Twitter. You can also ask Alexa to provide NORAD updates.
Google will be kicking off their own Santa Tracker at midnight on Christmas Eve. According to Google, Santa will be starting in eastern Russia this year.
Children can follow Santa’s voyage in real time online or through the Santa Tracker mobile app, which is available for most Android devices.
Both sites have fun games and videos to keep kids entertained all the way through Christmas eve.
