WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (WKRN) – The Goodlettsville All-Stars beat a team from nearby Bowling Green, Kentucky, on Thursday night, 8 to 4, continuing their fight for the Little League World Series title.
The All-Stars have made a habit of coming from behind all tournament long, and they did it again when they trailed 4-2 in the 4th inning.
Zach McWilliams blasted a grand slam to give them the lead for good at 6-4.
They added two more insurance runs, and that was plenty for 11-year-old RJ Moore, who pitched the final two innings and ended the game with a strikeout.
The team advances to play Endwell, New York, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. for the U.S. Championship. You can watch the game live on News 2.
New York handed Tennessee it’s only loss of the tournament Monday, 3-1.
